American Primate Conservancy is February Research Beneficiary

February 03, 2018

The Bigfoot Store announced at sQuatch Fest '18 in Kelso, WA that the American Primate Conservancy is the first ever beneficiary of the online store's monthly research organization donation program.

Todd Neiss, President of the American Primate Conservancy, expressed his gratitude. "Wow, that's really great. I'm honored you chose us to be the first research organization to receive a donation from your store."

Mr. Neiss, along with fellow staff members Diane Neiss and Peter Byrne, have been seriously researching Sasquatch for many decades, and are among the most respected researchers in the field. Founded in the late-90s, the mission of the American Primate Conservancy is to bring "a living legend to life". From the Conservancy website:

The American Primate Conservancy is predicated on the discovery, research, knowledge, recognition, and protection of the elusive creatures commonly referred to as "Sasquatch" or "Bigfoot."

We take our research very seriously with the goal of learning more about these magnificent creatures: understanding their place in the animal kingdom; appreciating their role and impact on our environment; identifying their habitat and resource needs; discovering the health of their species, and facilitating society’s acceptance with respect to their existence and role in nature.

"The conservancy is predicated on the premise that these amazing creatures do, in fact, exist in the densely forested Pacific Northwest," Mr. Niess elaborated. "Our ultimate mission is to produce irrefutable evidence of their existence, gain them official recognition, and provide them legal protection." He further added their ongoing research efforts, which included the recent Operation: Sea Monkey in the Broughton Archipelago of British Columbia, are specifically designed to obtain that irrefutable evidence. "The conservancy has a very ambitious long-term, multi-phased, strategic plan to make that a reality."

Fellow famed researcher Ron Morehead and filmographer Darren O'Brien, both of The Bigfoot Store, joined Mr. Neiss, Native Guide Tom Sewid and four others on that week-long boat charter into the remote coastal islands and have high marks for the expedition's vision. The following is a short promo of the unfinished documentary:

The American Primate Conservancy was created by Mr. Neiss to continue his search for Bigfoot, after having witnessed the enigmatic being 25 years ago while on maneuvers with the U.S. Army. It was a clear spring day in Oregon’s temperate Coast Range when the soldier found himself looking at a legend. On April 3rd, 1993, while conducting explosives training with the 1249th Combat Engineers, Sergeant Todd Neiss observed three enormous bipedal creatures watching their convoy from across a ravine. Originally a skeptic, he was forced to accept what he was seeing with his own eyes.

Since that fateful day, he has dedicated his life to proving the existence of these amazing creatures. With decades of field investigations and large-scale expeditions, his reputation as a serious researcher has grown exponentially. He has been honored to be called upon for numerous public speaking engagements; as well as countless interviews and television appearances.

The American Primate Conservancy continues to set the bar for serious Bigfoot research. While The Bigfoot Store will donate a portion of February profits to the Conservancy, the general public and Sasquatch fans around the world can help fund their research at any time. As Mr. Neiss says, "Please consider contributing to this ambitious project as we employ the latest, state-of-the-art technologies in an effort to establish the existence of these amazing beings." Click to donate.

Each month The Bigfoot Store will choose an established, non-profit Bigfoot or Sasquatch research organization to receive a donation based on a percentage of sales for that month. If you have or know of a deserving research group, feel free to nominate them for future consideration.
